1938

Meier’s purchases vineyard land on North Bass Island in Lake Erie, expanding its premium grape sourcing and estate winemaking.

John Michael Meier begins cultivating grapes near present-day Kenwood, Ohio, laying the groundwork.

Meier’s is acquired by Paramount Distillers, helping stabilize the company and expand its distribution and production capabilities.

2022

Vintage Wines Estates filles Chapter 11 bankruptcy and North American Ethanol Holding, acquired Meiers though the auction.
